Speak Up, Grant County!
Every four years, the Health Council conducts a survey to establish Grant County's health and wellness needs. The community data from the previous helped secure over $18 million in grants for the county over a five-year period. This time the Health Council wants to widen the scope of it's efforts with focus groups throughout the county to establish any vital local issues residents are concerned about. These concerns will be added to the county-wide survey for further input from the community.

The findings of the surveys and focus groups will be used to establish the Health Council's future priorities and to create the Grant County Community Health Improvement Plan & Profile.

Survey
The Grant County Community Health Council took the lead in New Mexico, again. This time we  conducted the largest community survey in the state. The survey began in September, and the Health Council made an intensive effort to reach the outlying communities of Grant County. We are partnered with county municipalities, businesses, agencies and individuals to widely distribute the survey. On February 28, 2007, the survey was completed. The results of the survey have been compiled and collated and available for download by clicking here. The findings were presented at the March 2007 Health Council meeting. The data is included in the Health Council's 2007 Community Health Improvement Profile and Plan.

Findings
All the data and findings from the Grant County survey are available for download by clicking here. They will also be included in the Grant County Profile 2007 edition.
